I guess this is my third post, and I have some fairly interesting things to report on. But before I do that, I just want to make something clear. I am not the sole owner of this band. There are several other people working on this, and I'm not doing all the work by myself. Sure, I'm the leader, but I'm in no way better than any of my band mates or anypony (Bronyism ftw) else working on this project. This is a group effort between me and my friends. Hell, if anything, they're working harder than me. All I did was start it. But back to the bloggy thingy.
So, we decided to forget that other band and keep calling ourselves Arrow To The Knee. This pleases me, but it only opened up another argument: Are the band's initials "A2TK", or "A2K"? Personally, I don't care much one way or another (although I think A2TK looks a tad better). But the issue still hasn't been decided, and I'm sure we'll figure it out tomorrow or something. On a completely unrelated note, Mike deleted his Facebook for some reason, so it makes it that much harder to communicate.
Also, we've finally filled all of the musical positions (XD), adding a kid named Parker to the band. He'll be playing the bass, and he's a excellent addition the the group. So here's that list again:
-Me (lead/rhythm guitar and vocals)
-Scott (trumpet)
-Parker (bass)
-Mike (rhythm/lead guitar)
-Zach (drums)
I'm glad we don't have to worry about who's playing what now, at least. Also, I feel I should also give recognition to a few other people who aren't necessarily working on the music aspect of the project, such as...
-Gray (designing the band logo, and supplying with whatever we might need in the field of graphic design)
-Mike (doing a lot of the expensive stuff, and he's our "manager" at the moment)
-A bunch of my friends who give input on my songs and ideas
Well whatever you're doing to help us with getting our band on the roll, I sure do appreciate it. A lot.
On a different note, we should be up and playing some stuff and practicing before too long. And apparently, we'll be practicing in my garage (which is filled to the brim with clutter, so I'll have to clean that out at some point), and me and whoever else will have to move all of our equipment in there as well. At the moment I'm working on finding some songs we can cover that sort of highlight each of the instruments in our group, and to assess their skills and whatnot.
Musically speaking, I haven't really done much since last post. I've derped around on guitar going nowhere, and listened to some more music, as always. But yeah, pretty much all I'm doing at the moment I'm trying to find some songs to showcase the skills of our members, and trying to write some fairly upbeat lyrics for a change. Of course, I don't exactly need to rush, as we're only going to be covering songs for the most part at the beginning. It would also be cool if someone else would write some songs, so I don't have to do all of them. But I can only complain about so many things, and so far the whole project is doing far beyond my expectations (Oh first world problems, you never cease to amaze me).
I can't really say when we'll be putting up songs on Youtube or whatever, but all that will come in time, and that time will hopefully be soon. Oh, and one more thing. This isn't exactly meant to be the band's official blog, but more of my blog documenting the progress of the band. So if you're saying to yourself that I'm talking about myself too much, or I'm going about writing this blog all wrong, that might be a reason why.
So I guess I'll see ya'll next time, and thanks for reading!
